It’s hard to believe that it’s been 14 years since 9/11/01 – the worst national tragedy of our generation. Let’s all take a moment to pause and reflect…
The world changed forever on that day.
Let’s remember those we lost that day. Remember the innocent victims. Remember the first responders – those who willingly gave their lives and charged into the buildings rather than run away to safely.
Let’s remember the leadership of George W. Bush, whose courage and steady hand comforted us like a father comforts his children.
Let’s remember Mayor Rudy Guiliani, who had the strength to turn down the money of a man who wanted America to apologize.
Let’s remember all of the brave soldiers that went to Afghanistan and Iraq to fight for our freedom.
Let’s remember the patriotic feelings that swept over the nation. Remember how we all came together to support each other emotionally and spiritually.
There was a time when The US Postal Service was a vital and wonderful service. That time is gone.
Personally, I only get two kinds of mail: junk mail and bills. It wouldn’t bother me a bit if I only received one delivery a week, or even less. FedEx and UPS could surely handle such a schedule. I really don’t need the bills to arrive by mail – I pay them online anyway. I could always print them out if I needed a hard copy, although I don’t know why I would need a paper copy.
Don’t even get me started on junk mail. It goes straight to the trash. If I really want a coupon, I can look online. Surely it would save businesses money if they could end this cycle of junk mail to landfill. Even the most liberal of tree huggers would celebrate the conserving of paper.
It seems like even the poorest folks rural have a smart phone nowadays. Surely we could eliminate the postal service and let for-profit companies and the beloved Internet replace them seamlessly.

We all know that Red, White and Blue and the American colors – they are right in our flag.
Even though it is the first one in that list, somehow red also became associated with communists, such as “Red China.” Of course, the flags of China and the former Soviet Union were mostly red.
With this in mind, why are freedom-loving Conservatives associated with red, while socialist Liberals are blue?
Clearly, the liberal media wanted to do everything in its power to make sure the Democrats weren’t saddled with the red label, because then it would be obvious to everyone that the liberals are a bunch of socialists and communists.
It goes without saying that neither party wanted to be associated with the color white because it is often used as a nickname for the European-American race.
Personally, blue is my favorite color in non-political matters. Thanks to the lousy liberal commies, now I have to wear red ties and so on. Thanks again, liberals
